Trip to Walibi Schtroumpf amusement park
Walibi Schtroumpf is an amusement park not far outside of Metz -- near
the end of school we went as a group out there to have a day of
fun. Jeremy, Grace, Claudette, Sham, Neil, Austen, Chris, Celina,
Jennifer, Vanessa, and myself attended. Walibi Schtroumpf is basically a
miniature Six Flags, about 10 minutes north of Metz. To get there you
take a regional train (tickets are roughly $2 each way) in the direction
of Thionville.
Getting off of the train.
A view of the coaster from the train trestle.
A closer view, with an operating roller coaster car visible.
Posing at the entrance.
Grace reads a brochure in the shade.

Amusing graffiti.
One of the more amusing rides, at least for me.
Celina prepares to ride.
Celina goes up.
A loop.
Plastic cup!
The folks in front of us near the top of the wooden coaster.
A view off to the side as we crested the top.
And again, this time with my right thumb in a starring role.

Looking back.
A day well spent.
As usual, thumbnails are available.
