US1 was closed just south of Dewey for hurricane Sandy sand removal, but we lucked in to some friends with access to a closer spot. I didn't properly account for the objective hazards on the beach and flipped K's kite over too soon, resulting in a bladder puncture, which I feel pretty terrible about, although at least he got out for a few minutes on my kite. Nonetheless, the conditions were perfect.
